Great Success for TOIC Course

Yet another successful TOIC, or Techniques of Instruction Course, was held at Stafford this weekend with 22 cadets from throughout the Wing being put through their paces. At the end of the day, five cadets went away with their yellow lanyards - the sign that they are fully fledged staff cadets.

BTEC assignment achieved

Once again, Staffordshire Wing held a BTEC weekend on the 2 and 3 December 2006. For the third time, this weekend provided an absolutely essential two days for those cadets that wish to gain an extra academic qualification and CV filler - FOR FREE!Continue reading "BTEC assignment achieved"

BTEC First Diploma in Public Services

Staffordshire Wing held its first BTEC weekend at Sir Graham Balfour School in Stafford recently. 68 cadets attended and most completed the Integrated Vocational Assignment (IVA). The School were very supportive with this and each cadet was able to have personal use of a computer or laptop, with each having their own user area that they were able to access with an assigned password. Cadets had access to the internet as well as a wide range of resources supplied by the CIO. There was also a visit by the Regional Operations Manager from Frimley Park - Captain Philippa Falshaw who was there to help with questions from cadets and assess the records being kept. The feedback received from her was "excellent"!
