Staffordshire Wing put the air back into the Air Training Corps by holding a presentation evening with twenty awards for aviation, including Air Cadet Pilot/Navigation Scheme, Gliding Scholarships and BTEC in Aviation Studies.
Instructor Cadet Warrant Officer Scott Dawson from 395 (Stafford) Sqn hit a high by collecting three awards: Air Cadet Pilot/Navigation Scheme, BTEC in Aviation Studies and the C Category Gliding Instructor Certificate.
OC Staffordshire Wing, Wing Commander Colin Cope was joined by Wing Commander Sid Little OBE RAF VR(T) retired and Arthur Lewis, Wing Civilian Committee Chairman and friends and family of cadets collecting awards.
"In all my years as Wing Commander at Staffordshire Wing," said Wg Cdr Sid Little, "we never had as much success as we have had today."
The evening finished with a splendid buffet laid on by 395 (Stafford) Sqn.
