Rock Climbing and abseiling involve the skills of climbing and rope work as well as the controled decent down a rock face, either indoor or outdoor.
Only one Squadron of Staffordshire Wing currently have a qualified rock climbing instructor. Efforts are in hand to encourage as many members of staff as possible to start the process of training and assessment to reach instructor standard. In the short term Squadrons attend local Outdoor pursuits centres where qualified instructors are on hand to take groups of cadets on this exciting activity.
