Following a review of the operating remit of the Basic Expedition Leaders Award by Sports Leaders UK, the Operating Authority, Staffordshire Wing will adopt the new criteria from 01 Apr 07.

The MLTE have launched a guidance document for advising instructors how and at what distance they should remotely supervise walking groups. The full document can be found below along with an executive summary. All hillwalking AT supervisors are advised to aquient themselves with the guidance and use it to inform their decision making.
